This is a step by step video of myself doing my own roof. This was my first roof I’ve ever done and wanted to share some of the lessons I learned along the way.
roof leak repair NJ
Brother, you did a kick ass job!!!
white people these days
u gotta be reall dumb to leave the cracks
Thank you Jesus.
at least they made it out alive , sometimes the plywood is rotten underneath with no safety shoes or the lanyard whew , safety first people take it seriously!
Great video for the DIY'ers out there! Another excellent video to watch (actually a series) on roofing is by a channel called NSM Construction. They're a church that builds homes for people in need and their videos were designed to teach their volunteers how to build. I've found them extremely helpful and very detailed, so if you are planning on doing your roof yourself like I am, I highly recommend those videos. This one is awesome in detailing materials needed, costs, and steps. Good Job!

that looks like about 30 + sq? laying about 6-9 bndles an hour is pretty average, which would allow for about 10 hours for one guy to install the roof.(90 bndls or so) If I were you, I woud of spent the $60 to rent the gun hose and compressor. just a thought.
3 grand to diy??????? 🙁 fuck me thats still alot rather spend the extra 3k so i don't fuck up
25 fucking days? Are u Sirius ????
i live in Arkansas i would just burn that stuff up for free

Staples are nice.. you have it easy in this job. Nicely done!
Brave man to take on the work by yourself! I really want to do the same. Someday 🙂
How did u managed to work at night without neighbor complaining or calling the cop
Thank you for taping the video from start to the end. Mad respect!
Did the manufacturer suggest racking the shingles like you did? Ie one layer at a time?
Thanks, Brotha. Looks great. Encourages me to try roofing my own place myself when it needs it (soon).
I'm impressed! I'm not sure I want to attempt this myself given the time it took you. How many hours a day were you able to devote to the project?
3 weeks to go through this???good for you, you must be proud…but to leave the roof exposed for 3 weeks, is asking for trouble.3-4 days and all should have been completed…. even for DIY.anyways, looked good in the end… but the time it took, is painful to watch
